Why does Google ask me to reconnect?

Google can expire or revoke a permission, or your access to a property may change. Your last saved reports show their measurement date. Reconnect from the Google connection card; signing in to SEO Control alone does not restore a data-source connection. Testing access may expire after seven days while verification is pending.

Is disconnecting the same as deleting my data?

Disconnecting stops source updates and hides reports; source snapshots are kept for 30 days for reconnection. If another Google source is connected, a shared Google grant may remain. To remove Google's permission, visit Google Account connections. This may stop both sources. Account deletion is separate and takes precedence over reconnection retention.
